The historical law enforcement bias toward believing that any accusation of rape must be true has been even more pronounced in the last few years because of “#Me Too,” “Times Up,” and related philosophies promoting victimhood. As a result, it is more important than ever for men to be careful interacting with the opposite sex.
We recently represented a man who dated a woman, took her home, had consensual sex with her, and the next morning they parted ways. Everything was fine, but then a week later, she accused him of rape. The police became involved. Fortunately for him, he took a selfie of the two of them smiling happily at 6:57 in the morning, right before she left his house. She was obviously not a victim of rape. A good example that one picture can be worth a thousand words.
